Building and Grounds |
| Mission: Ensure that the church property, equipment, and grounds are maintained both in appearance and repair. |
| Membership: Two elders as co-chairpersons, 6 members at large |
| Responsibilities: |
| 1. Church property upkeep: |
| - annual review of all church property |
| - maintenance and upkeep of all property and equipment |
| 2. Inventory: |
| - maintain records of the church's inventory |
| - recommend to the session changes in this area |
| 3. Janitors: |
| - have oversight of janitors |
| - review and recommend annually to the session the church's contract with janitorial service |
| - recommend to the session changes in this area |
| 4. Use of church facilities: |
| - recommend to the session the necessary rules and regulations for use of church facilities, including fees, use by |
| members and nonmembers of the church for weddings, funerals, receptions, and other meetings approved by the |
| session |
| - see that sanctuary is heated/air conditioned and that everything is in order |
| 5. Keys: |
| - maintain a record of all keys |
| - usage |

| 6. Office equipment: |
| - have oversight of all office equipment |
| - review annually contracts for office equipment |
| - upgrade and replace equipment when necessary |
| 7. Property insurance: |
| - review annually all insurance policies |
| - recommend to the session any changes |
| 8. Utilities: |
| - ensure that all utilities are maintained |
