Interfaith Refugee Ministry

Interfaith Refugee Ministry assists with each refugee's resettlement.  The staff answers questions and provides telephone or in-person counseling and guidance.

  • We offer comprehensive training to prepare the volunteers to carry out this life-saving ministry.
  • Each arriving refugee receives a stipend from the government to assist with his immediate needs.
  • We hold an orientation for the new refugee(s) and the volunteers within the first few weeks of arrival
  • Our Early Employment Program (Match Grant) offers additional financial assistance for those who qualify.
  • We provide English as a Second Language (ESL) materials for volunteer tutors and for self-study.
  • Our program, which started in 1992, has been continually improved and upgraded.
