• Unlock church by
8:30
AM – All doors • Turn on lights in hall/sanctuary – sanctuary lights turn on with black round dial located at left of organ – lights for stairwells turn on with big lever in closet behind the Sunday School Superintendent’s desk • Bulletins should be in the sanctuary narthex on the bench at right • Check the heat or A/C in sanctuary – automatically comes on, but depending on the weather, you might need to increase / decrease to get comfortable – temperature in adjusted on far left – says “change” and has two buttons to increase/decrease • Communion to be prepared – chalice and cup in pastor’s study– white cloths to cover elements in a pizza box located in worship cabinet in pastor’s study – bread and juice in refrig. in pastors study - place bread on the left, juice on the right on the communion table (facing congregation) and cover. • Turn on sound system using large power switch on side of sound cabinet. Fill glass with water for pulpit. • Coffee to be made – place empty pot under the fill area first (decaf pot is orange). Measure four level scoops into filter. Use plastic container to pour water into – fill to line, pour in small round hole of coffee maker and turn burner on (the two burner switches only operate the burners – lower switch for lower burner) • Greet and give out bulletins – identify visitors and get them to sign the guest book if possible • Check to make sure that the offering is collected. If needed, collect in gray bag (bag should be in office area on top of distribution boxes) and slide bag under treasurers door. • Introduce speaker if necessary • Take count of attendance during worship. Mark on attendance sheet. Leave count on the office desk. • Insure that all outside doors are locked after the 11:00 AM service, and that all lights are out, and that sound system turned off. |
