Session is the governing body for our church. It is
comprised of elders, women and men elected and
ordained by the congregation, who exercise
leadership, government, and discipline on behalf of
West New Bern Presbyterian Church. Their primary
charge is to seek to discover and represent the will
of Christ as they govern.
Nine elders, which includes the clerk of session,
and the pastor make up the session. Each elder
serves for a term of three years, with a third of
the session members rotating off each year to ensure
stability.
Generally, the session meets on the second Tuesday
of the month in the fellowship hall at 7:00 pm.
